Why Ultra Violet?
As Pantone states, enigmatic purples have long been symbolic of counterculture, unconventionality, and artistic brilliance. Musical icons such as Prince, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, and Andy Warhol brought shades of Ultra Violet to the forefront of western pop culture as personal expressions of individuality. Nuanced and full of emotion, the depth of PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.
Go for it!
If you are not sure how to rock this enigmatic shade, here we give you some ideas:
We never thought an Ultra Violet smokey eye could create such a gorgeous look, but here you have it:
If you want to try this ideal makeup, follow these easy steps:
- Apply a very pigmented purple shadow to the eye lid
- Smudge it to the crease
- Repeat the 2 previous steps as many times as you need, to achieve a shade gradient: very intense right above the lashes, and slowly fainting upwards
- Take a shimmery violet eyeshadow and apply it on the inner half of the lid
- Use a purple pencil to line the lower lash line, and smudge it with a pointed brush
Finish the look with a winged eyeliner and a nice amount of mascara. Or even better, with long false lashes!
Beauty tip: match the look with a subtle lavender highlighter, the result will be stunning
Beauty tip: add a powder eyeshadow on top of your lipstick, it will set it on place and make it last longer
