Colorful Natural Makeup

Do you like natural cosmetics but are not sure about the colours that can be used with natural products? Would you like to launch the natural line that is not boring and includes more than green and brown colours? We will explain you how to get the rainbow of cheerful colours so that your natural cosmetics is colourful like a flowering garden and blazing like the sunlight reflection on the water surface.

In order to develop natural saturated colours, in Jovi Cosmetics we work with 7 “natural” pigments with no effect. We say natural in between quotation marks as the pigments are not extracted directly from nature. The right expression is mineral derived ingredients, and they are obtained through chemical processes from these minerals which were taken from nature at some point in their life.

Among these seven pigments are the four that we consider basic: white, black, red and yellow which are titanium and iron oxides. We complete the list of natural pigments with blue, green and violet.

The use of cochineal carmine is widespread in the cosmetic industry and, obviously, it is not a vegan pigment, but it is not classified as natural either due to the processes it undergoes to obtain the solid pigment itself.

The list of colorants is quite short, so although many shades can be developed by mixing these seven components, the variety of the range is limited by the pigments’ characteristics.

For example, from the seven pigments, an infinity of beige, brown and node hues can be done, but it is impossible to develop an intense and deep red or fuchsia.

In addition, beautiful ranges of pearlescent effect can be made by combining the previous pigments with all kinds of white and coloured micas, which are also natural and give a special touch with their shine and sparkles

We can create a line of natural colours for all types of liners, eyeshadows, lipsticks, and even highlighters thanks to the different effect pigments we work with.
